How is my "war room"?

In this Easter season, I am reminded of our son's "war room" of prayer. How thankful we can be that we have access to God's throne room because of Jesus Christ. May I spend more time in my own "war room", where true, transforming power resides. It's all about the cross!

Passing of cousin Chad Gerber

God called a saint home last night. Chad, you will be missed by so many, but thanks to Jesus Christ, "we will see you again"!

RT 66, Arizona, and California 2015.

The Grimms were blessed to have a great couple weeks out west seeing God's creation, exploring historic US RT 66, and spending time with great friends in Tucson, Phoenix for VBS, and San Diego.  Below is just a sampling of the trip.

Birthday

Great weekend as a result of Church minister rotation in Prescott AZ. 

Grand Canyon to plateau point to celebrate turning 35! Then Church and a little "Route 66" action. 

Glad to spend a few days with Kent and Megan Schmidgall. Thanks so much to our parents for taking kids for this little getaway.

Andrew--businessman

Andrew gave me his "business card" today.  I asked him if he would hire me, and he said yes.  I asked what my pay would be.  He told me zero because I get paid at my other job.  Sounds like a plan to me.... :)

Grimm boys Veterans Day salute

The kids learned about Veterans Day this week. At home one night the boys performed a "Veterans Day salute" program for us. Pretty creative I would say.

Goodbye Plattners

Tonight we said goodbye to some of our very best friends, Kurt and Joan Plattner, and their family. As they move on to Haiti to serve God there, we couldn't help but think how great God is and how He provides no matter what our situation. When we got home, many tears were shed by all of us. Then Buzz went and got 6 stuffed animals. He said now when he gets sad and misses the Plattners, he can just hug them all at once.

Though many miles will separate us, we take comfort that being in the Lord's will is what each of us want. 

Plattners, God bless you! We will miss you all.
